Platinum Surrogacy is the only family run Surrogacy Agency in Canada. As a family run business, we treat every member of our Program as an extended family member and have made lifelong friendships and connections in the process. This isn’t a ‘job’ for us, this is our family mission and we work very hard to honour our Family name and roots. Our family works together to help grow other families here in Canada and across the globe.
Our CEO and CFO are actually sisters, both living in Lakeshore Ontario. Between us, we have 8 children, ( all boys!!! ) that help with administration and filing. We have zero ‘employees’ so everyone here is deeply dedicated to assuring our clients are always supported and informed.

JACKIE LEBERT - Co Founder and Chief Executive Officer
I am a 41 year old mother of 3 boys, all named after Superheros. Logan ( Wolverine ), Kent ( Superman ) and Parker ( Spiderman ). My boys are my pride and joy and are growing into incredible young adults. My two oldest boys are 18 & 17 and my baby just started high school. My children have grown up in the Surrogacy Community and learned about sacrifice and diversity from a very young age. They would go to school and tell their teachers and classmates that they help grow all kinds of unique and special families. They have always been Mama’s helpers and never hesitated to pick up the slack when a pregnancy required some down time. I couldn’t have lived my dream without their amazing help! Now as co-owners of a family Run Surrogacy Business, they help mentor and offer support to other children of Surrogates going through the same experiences as they did.
We live in Tecumseh, Ontario with our 3 giant breed dogs; Suki - a 6 year old Spanish Mastiff, Rory Louise - a 4 year old French Dogue De Bordeaux Mastiff and Sheba Rose - a 3 year old 3 legged Rescue that joined our family all the way from Egypt. We are also currently fostering Paris - a 1 year old mixed breed . Our baby girls are family members and we couldn’t possibly love them anymore than we do. And yes, they even have their own Tik Tok Page!
I spent every single day of my 30’s devoted to growing families across the globe. I have delivered a total of 11 babies, 8 of which are Surrogate babies, with two sets of twins. I always knew I wanted to be a Surrogate and give others the chance to expand their families. I was in an armed robbery at 21 years of age. Miraculously I walked away without physical injury. From that moment forward, I have devoted my life to making a difference for others. I’ve been in the Surrogacy world since I was 28 years old and trained under Canada's Pioneer Surrogate Mother. She was my biggest supporter but also my greatest mentor and truest best friend. I owe my personal Surrogacy success to her and vowed to continue to 'pay it forward' after she passed away and share the love and knowledge she shared with me when she took me under her wing. Her last wish for me was to tackle the Surrogacy world with my heart and be a leader whose bottom line was to always focus on the ‘people’ and take the 'business' out of the role. In her absence, there has been such a lack of true connection and equality in the Surrogacy community in Canada and thus, Platinum Surrogacy was created. I have made it my professional mission to always be the mentor I was blessed enough to have and fight to assure all Surrogates and Intended Parents have their voices heard, equally.
Owning a business with your sister is such an incredible gift, knowing that no matter what, we are family first and always have each other's back. There are few things stronger than two sisters bonded together in a single mission. We are polar opposites, but in that, we create a perfect balance. Jes has always been strong and stubborn, ready to jump and fight for the things and people that matter most to her. She was made for the role of a CFO. Where I am emotional and make decisions with my heart, Jes is the logical one who knows to think with her head as well. Together, we can tackle anything!
Surrogacy has given me the greatest honour in being able to follow along the journies of my amazing Platinum Family, to aid Surrogates achieve their own dreams, and to watch those that have struggled, finally be able to hold their baby in their arms. I couldn't be more proud of the work we are doing and the team and family we are growing at Platinum

JESSICA CUSSON - Chief Financial Officer
I am a 32 year old mother of five crazy boys. Their names are Dallas (11) Cameron (10) Koen (7) Blake (5) and Brody (3). All of my kids go to school in Belle River, except for my youngest who won’t be joining them for another year. All the kids keep me super busy with sports, and running around, especially Bake, who is legally blind and needs a little extra attention. I am also married to my husband and best friend, Adam Cusson, who I met in high school. Adam is an amazing dad and husband who is always putting his family first. Between the kids and work he always has something going on, however, always seems to find time to help Platinum Surrogacy- whether it’s printing stuff off, helping out with our website, or looking things up. He is even Platinum’s photographer!
I am very close with my sister Jackie who is my partner here at Platinum. Our families often get together and the kids love hanging out and bugging one another. Because of this I was introduced to the Surrogacy world at a very young age. I was very involved in all of her journeys, supporting her through the good, bad, and the ugly. I even have been introduced to some of her IPs! I also have got the pleasure of watching all her little surro babies grow through pictures on Facebook. Jackie is even the reason I went through the process for egg donation. I became pregnant after having an IUD in for 3 years which is why I did not complete that journey but it got me even more involved in the community and the experience really taught me a great deal.
I am not one to stay put or still very long, as I love traveling. When I was 17, I enrolled in the Royal Canadian Military as a Marine Engineer Systems Operator. I was in the Military for 7 years and traveled all over the place. I got to see many places and met many wonderful people and families all over the world. I absolutely loved it until I realized I didn’t get much time with my family. Because of this, I then joined the Canadian Coast Guard for a summer doing Search and Rescue. I did many amazing things there as well and it was a great experience but I still was not getting the time I desired with my family and my kids. This is when I decided to become a Correctional Officer, which is what I currently do other than Platinum. I have been with Corrections for 8 years now. I started at the Sarnia Jail and worked there for 3 years before I transferred to the South West Detention Center in Windsor.
I currently live in Lakeshore and absolutely love it here. I grew up in LaSalle and always thought Belle River was so far. However, being here now I couldn’t be happier. It’s a great community, with a small town vibe, and it even has its own beach! We love it so much that Platinum is now a member of their BIA.
Jackie had a brilliant idea to open Platinum a couple years ago and when she asked me to be her partner I was over the moon excited and honoured. To own a family business with my sister was not even something I could have dreamt about as a little girl and to have our families both completely involved was unimaginable. We have been working together now for 3 years and I wouldn’t change a thing! We are complete opposites which ends up working out perfectly as we balance each other pretty well and can always find a solution between the two of us. I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for us and our families.
